Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Recovery Plan
Not only were we clearly shown the awesomeness of Nature by the Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but we learned the need of an everyday disaster reduction system, a need to create a relaxed and elegant society and many other things.
To achieve this, using the experiences of the earthquake, Hyogo Prefecture, in order to recover as quickly as possible, put the "Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Recovery Plan" (Hyogo Phoenix Plan) into action.
According to this project, we intend to work toward a creative recovery and solving the problems Japan faces today through the basic philosophy of creating a "coexisting society" of harmony between people and nature, people and people, people and society, not only recovering to the conditions before the earthquake, but be prepared for the certain coming of the aged-society and international liberation of the economy, etc.

Within the recovery project an emergency 3-year plan for the 3 fields of Housing, Infrastructure and Industry was formed
Districts Covered in the Plan The district covering 11 cities and 6 towns in Hyogo Prefecture covered by the earthquake disaster assistance law
